BSB Electrical
Project Progress Update – ASRS 2 Wakefield CCEP
Our Midlands installation team have been busy since April last year working on an extensive project, a complete electrical fit out for the new ASRS 2 automated warehouse for one of our trusted clients—Coca Cola Europacific Partners.
This ongoing project involves the installation of new multi-case distribution boards, extensive cable and containment systems, high/low level lighting and emergency lighting, earth bonding throughout the building—in excess of 560 luminaires, including a new BSB developed low level lighting test point and DALI BMS self-reporting system saving the client a vast amount in maintenance costs annually. The scope also includes large power supplies from 200-650a for various equipment and distribution boards as part of the project the LV substation had several buckets upgraded for new supplies and new harmonic filters installed to replace the existing failed PFCs. This was to counteract the increased harmonics on the LV network due to a plethora of LED lights and invertors for cranes and conveyors. The team was coordinating with other trades on-site, and adapting installations based on the evolution of the building structure.
Despite challenges such as ongoing construction works and adverse weather conditions,
the team have remained flexible and solutions-focused, making strong progress whilst ensuring all works meet the highest of quality and safety standards that our clients expect of BSB.
A big shoutout to everyone in our team who has been involved, continuing to work hard with professionalism throughout. With various team members travelling across the country to lend their support, it’s been a true collective effort and a great example of teamwork in action. A special mention to two of our lead installation electricians— Adam Sharman for his leadership and commitment in keeping the project moving forward and Jack Gibson for his continued support and assistance.
It’s a great example of the dedication and adaptability our teams bring to every project. We are looking forward to sharing more updates as the work draws to a close.
